Health is a booming industry with great potential. With the accelerating pace of modern life, mounting work pressure and changing diet, people’s health conditions are being threatened. According to a WHO global survey, only 15% people are living in healthy condition, 15% in non-healthy condition (namely being patients), and 70% in sub-health condition. That means there is a one-billion sub-healthy population in China that needs health service. With social development, improving livelihood and changes in ways of life, demand for health products is growing. The health industry, dominated by biotechnology and life science, covering medical care, health care, fitness and leisure, is becoming a major industry leading the global economic growth and social progress in the 21st century. It has also been defined as a mega-industry with limited potential by the world’s economics community.
DeTao is making great efforts to build Healthy Life Center as a response to the rapid economic and social development and the great demand for the health industry. The Center will work with real estate industry and local governments to develop senior care real estate and scientific medical treatment, among other service. The Center has already brought together industry leaders from the US, Germany, the UK and Japan, including Professor Michael D. Yapko, Director of the Milton H. At the beginning of the 80s, while he labored as a professor and researcher, by accident the discovery of the EM Technology™ became apparent. This occurred when Professor Higa was investigating with microorganisms and by pure coincidence he encountered a marvelous occurrence. One day while working he spilled some microorganisms near a few shrubs and some days after he noticed that the plants were growing abundantly well. With this he continued his studies to find out what was the best combination of beneficial microorganism until EMTM was formally introduced as a soil conditioner. Most recently, EM™ was used for sanitary control after the devastating tsunami in Japan and severe flooding in Thailand. EM™ is coined word from “Effective Microorganisms™”. EM™ consists of a wide variety of effective, beneficial and non-pathogenic microorganisms produced through a natural process and not chemically synthesized or genetically engineered. Until today, the EM Technology™ has been introduced in more than 120 countries worldwide. It was not easy to spread the idea of EM™ at the beginning because it is far different idea from the conventional agriculture and there were organizations to oppose against the EM™ dissemination because the farming with EM™ may change the conventional system in agro-business. However, with his devoted effort, farmers came to understand EM™ is very easy to use and effective and safe technology for agriculture.
